I am a productive and adaptable contributor to fields that rely on advanced mathematicalcomputational models, with experience at many implementation levels, including GL (MATLAB), GL (CCFortran), DSP (Cassembly), and bit-exact ASIC design. I have direct experience in several application areas, including wireless PHY design, electronic design automation, signal processing, and operations research. As a principal of CVX Research, Inc., I develop and support CVX, a popular modeling framework for convex optimization. The software is used in teaching and research at top-tier universities worldwide and a variety of both scientific and non-scientific commercial settings. My colleague and I were recently awarded the Beale Orchard Hays Prize for Excellence in Computational Mathematical Programming for this work. In partnership with several professors worldwide I can offer seminars and short courses in convex optimization, one-on-one training, customized model and software development, and other services.
