My foray into writing movies began in , after I relocated to Los Angeles and found myself unemployed. With no job prospects, I had a tough decision to make return to the East Coast and work for someone else again, or stay in Los Angeles and pursue a career in the world I had always loved the movie business. Staring at the computer purchased by my former employer (Sean Diddy Combs), I saw an opportunity to create my entre into the film industry. Armed with Diddys computer, a book on screenwriting, and a Blockbuster card, I began teaching my self to write screenplays. Approximately months later without the help of an agent or manager I sold his first screenplay to a major movie studio, th Century Fox. I was now a working writer. Over the next years, I would develop film and television scripts for Warner Bros. Pictures, th Century Fox, Walt Disney Pictures, Fox Pictures, Universal Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Paramount Pictures, VH, BET, FOX, MTV, Showtime and HBO. Films that I have written include "Just Wright," starring Queen Latifah, released in theaters , "Brown Sugar," "Like Mike," and "MTVs MTVs Hip-Hopera Carmen," which launched the film career of Beyonce. Combined box office revenue of my films exceed million. I am currently writing "Getting to Happy", the sequel to "Waiting to Exhale" for Fox Pictures "Looking for Jimmy Lee" for BET Films "FAUST" for MTV Networks and "Guarding Cole" for Disney Channel.
