“Hi Michael,
My fate has been so different from yours and lately I feel like a failure... A Moscovite, 1979 MSU VMK graduate and 1982 PhD student married to an American and emigrated to the US to join my husband, I was officially told that my Masters in Physics and Mathematics degree from MSU equated to only a Bachelors degree in the US. I had to forget my dream University/ academia career in matehematics and AI... while Univ. of Maryland did not question your MSU degree or credentials. 15 years, MBA and MSIT later, I still can not afford to send my son to a top American university. Please share your insight and expert professor advise on how to give my son HIS dream education he deserves w/o going into bankraptcy. My son has served in the AirForce, but his laughable GI bill will not cover even a semester in a good school. We are not Jewish, and maybe that's the problem. I am reaching out to you as to an intellectual, MSU graduate and a parent. Please advise to those seeking education. Thank You, Svetlana”
