Mr. Papa was elected Chairman of the Board and CEO of EOG in August 1999, President and CEO and Director in September 1998, President and Chief Operating Officer in September 1997, President in December 1996 and was President-North America Operations from February 1994 to September 1998. Mr. Papa joined Belco Petroleum Corporation, a predecessor of EOG, in 1981. Mr. Papa is also a director of Oil States International, Inc.
