Marianne's versatile musical ability brought her to the diverse range of musical styles, such as classical, jazz, R&B, rock, Broadway musical, traditional and contemporary church music. Marianne became a church musician at 8 years of age. She studied piano performance and composition at Pusan Arts High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in music, majoring in composition at Pusan National University with scholarships. Arriving in the States 2000, Marianne served at Willow Creek Church as a keyboardist for 10 years, and First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn as music director and organist (2007~2013). She also worked for the Fine Arts Department of Deerfield High School as a staff accompanist and arranger (2004~2013). She is currently a freelance musician as composer, arranger, pianist and organist serving at the local churches including the Moody Church and Willow Creek Church Chicago. Marianne is an active composer and arranger working with major publishers including Lorenz Corporation, Hope Publishing Company, Hal Leonard Corporation and Ever-Devoted Music. Her unique and creative styles of music made possible Marianne publish her own piano and organ solo books working with highly acclaimed editors & composers including Larry Schackley, Douglas Wagner, Mark Hayes, Joseph Martin, Joel Raney and Jane Hostein. Marianne's proficient musical theory including harmony, sight-reading, instant modulation and improvisation skills are well reflected on her arrangements. Marianne has also worked for the Lakeside Singers, consisting of 25 professional mixed voices, under Artistic Director Robert Bowker, where she performs highly demanding dual roles of classical accompanist and rhythm section keyboardist since 2005. After working as a professional musician for more than 10 years in the States, Marianne has returned to graduate school of music for a master's degree of jazz studies, concentrating on piano performace, with a full scholarship at Northern Illinois University. At the same time, she has been given the opportunity to teach jazz piano classes at the same university. Marianne has worked and performed with many of well-known artists in classical and non-classical both equally including Robert Bowker, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, Grammy Award winner, Howard Levy, Grammy Award winner, Mark S.
