Louis Garcia

Male, 30 years old

Luis is a member of the investment team at Google Ventures, Google's venture capital arm. He has been involved with the fund since the group's inception and public launch in 2009. In his current role, Luis has worked with entrepreneurs in the Boston, NY, and SF Bay Area tech communities. Previously, Luis was an International Product Manager at YouTube, where he helped lead the initial localization of the online video service into 17 countries and more than 12 languages in just over one year. He also served as a Business Product Manager for Google's International Product Management team. In this capacity, Luis helped define and scale Google's global product localization operations, and he led the regional hiring of Google's Product Management organization in Latin America. Before joining Google in 2005, Luis worked for a strategy consulting firm advising senior clients across a range of consumer industries (e.g., CPG, food, beverage, apparel). Luis earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, which he attended as the recipient of a Google Education Fellowship. He holds graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Management Science & Engineering, both from Stanford, where he was a Finalist in the 2003 Entrepreneur's Challenge business plan competition.
