Female, 28 years old

At the age of three Kevin Stewart Jr. already knew what he wanted to do in life and that was to sing. At the age of seven Kevin was singing and directing in the childrens choir at Liberty Temple Baptist Church in Detroit, under the direction of Hulah Gene Hurley, and Minister of Music Barry Alexander. The Pastor is Steve Bland and the Pastor Emeritus is Samuel J. Thompson. From there Kevin continued singing, he joined the childrens choir for the National Baptist Convention USA, and the Faith choir where he was featured singing My soul loves Jesus. Kevin sang to over 20,000 people under the direction of Minister of Music Jimmy Dowell better known as J.D. The next accomplishment was when Kevin auditioned for the Lion King on Broadway which he won in Detroit, from their, he was sent to Chicago to audition again to compete in the finals and he was the runner up. He began doing radio commercials and singing in various churches and musicals. He later auditioned for the Production of the Raisin in the Sun. He received the part of the little boy Travis, he performed for three months. The same production company called him back to play a part in another play call Getting up out of Here in which he stared in. That performance lasted several months also. He also auditioned for the Mosaic Theater in Detroit and received and full scholarship to attend the summer program, to study music, dance and theater. He was one of the featured soloist and dancer. Once again Kevin audition in July of 2004 for the Bobby Jones new artist showcase were he performed at Second Ebenezer Full Gospel in Detroit and from there he was ask to minister a song on the Bobby Jones show in Washington D.C. Kevin as also opened up the show in which Sister Vicki Winans was the special guest. He is also on his father c.d. Kevin Stewart One More Day. He has sung with Kierra Sheard (KiKi) and many others. He has toured with the MDA Community choir to New York where he was the featured soloist. He as recently audition for two plays If these hips could talk and Why do good girls like bad boys and received a part in the play. He has been the guest soloist for several church concerts. Each and everyday Kevin welcomes the challenges, and preparing himself spiritually and vocally to meet what God has instore for him. Kevin has many talents: he plays the drums, congus and spirited tambourines, he also dances and he is a talented actor. Kevin comes from a long line of entertainers that in his family. His father Kevin Sr. and mother Jaletha and other relatives are blessed with voices of God. Kevin is attending school at the Detroit school of arts where he is a vocal major, and is in two choirs, Concert choir and vision. read more ...
