Kenneth M. Cohen

Kenneth M. Cohen is one of our co-founders and has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since our inception in August 2003. Previously, he was an independent advisor to various biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, entrepreneurs and investors, including Synbiotics Corporation, Applied NeuroSolutions, Inc. and Highbridge Capital Management. From May 1996 to April 2001, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Synbiotics Corporation, a diagnostics company. From March 1995 to February 1996, Mr. Cohen was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Canji Incorporated, a human gene-therapy company, until its acquisition by Schering-Plough Corporation in February 1996. Prior to joining Canji, he was Vice President of Business Affairs at Argus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for LifeCell Corporation. Mr. Cohen began his career at Eli Lilly and Company in 1978, where, among many different responsibilities over ten years, he directed business planning for the Medical Instrument Systems Division and managed the launch of Prozac.
