Since age , Kathee Smith had big dreams to work in the soap opera industry. After graduating from Bradley University in , that dream led to her first job as the Photo Assistant for Soap Opera Digest Magazine (later, she was promoted to Assistant Photo Editor.) Her connections with industry photographers presented her the unique opportunity to attend the Daytime Emmy Awards as a freelance Photographers Assistantaccompanying photographers from Getty Images to help identify celebrities quickly and efficiently, both in the pressroom and on red carpet. Ultimately, visual and written storytelling were Kathee's true passions. Having minored in Creative Writing (and taken several RadioTV courses in college), Kathee began working on her first original television sitcom pilot while living in New York. In , Kathee moved to Nashville, TN, where she worked for a record label in the creative department, scheduling photo shoots for artistsalong with making creative edits to designs and managing the in-house library. She was also a liaison with the marketing team, so her transition to the advertising side of the entertainment business was an easy one. And in , Kathee headed to Chicago to join the ad sales team at ABC Radio Networks. Later, she would also work for Cartoon Network in the same field. After working in advertising marketing for more than nine years, Kathee left the industry in to pursue her original dreams thus, she packed her bags, and this time headed west to Los Angeles as an aspiring television writer. Currently, she is taking two scriptwriting courses at the Second City training center in Hollywood. In her free time, Kathee enjoys capturing life's moments as they happen through photography, along with producing short videos. Frequently, she can be found at local coffee shops writing the next "big hit." So, stay tuned
