I'm primarily a writer and editor, but I worked for nearly three years as an editor at Popular Photography magazine. I learned a lot there and can even apply some of what I learned to my own photography (sometimes). I don't have anything fancy: a Nikon D40 with a kit lens, and couple of compact cameras. I'm working on a 365 photo project for my 29th year. I'm currently a script editor at Howcast.com.
