Bio

I'm a career journalist, writer and editor with more than 18 years of experience writing for broadcast television, cable and print media outlets. After producing thousands of newscasts and writing full-time for several print powerhouses, I decided it was time to form my own freelance company. Today I'm the founder/president of Katherine Johnson Media Enterprises, LLC, a media company that offers a full range of editorial, traditional and social media strategy services to small businesses and individual clients. I finished editing the autobiography of Ronald Wayne, the third co-founder of Apple this year. His book titled "Adventures of an Apple Founder" is currently available on iTunes and Amazon.com. I also work as a production coordinator/editor for two luxury homebuilding book series, fact checker for a luxury niche publication, and writer/editor for Florida Homebuyer magazine. I also continue to freelance write for several national and local magazines, and serve as content generator of daily news/parenting/financial stories on Twitter that may be of interest to thousands of followers. My writing portfolio includes Conceive, Housing Wire, Florida Homebuyer, Orlando, Where Orlando, Winter Park, Airtran Airways Go!, and Portfolio Florida magazines. In 2009, I served as copy editor on a global climate change policy that was advanced at the Copenhagen Climate Conference. My first children's book is currently in development.
