I am an enthusiastic creative professional and designer with an infectious personality. The last three years I have been the Creative Director at SM Agency where I manage all digital strategy, creative and development of products. I am a seasoned creative designer with a well rounded background in traditional and new media design. My passion is for UX design, UI Design, branding and emerging media. This includes the ever evolving world of social media and mobile communications. I believe the next generation of creatives will have to be part Jedi to keep up with the changing landscape of media arts. It takes a pirate mentality to be a creative these days. I have hired, managed and taught a significant number of "graphic designers". I find the integrity of that title to be compromised. I believe there is a significant difference between a "graphic designer" and a "creative designer". The latter is a master of ideation. They have the ability to think in a nonlinear fashion, draw on their experiences and synthesize unique ideas. You can not give a graphic designer a problem and expect a well thought out concept or creative solution. That is where a creative designer lives, breaths and produces art not just graphics.
