Male, 35 years old

As a boy, I wouldn't have told you being a "graphic designer" would have been my profession of choice. It would probably be more accurate to say a firefighting astronaut over a designer. But ever since childhood, it was pretty evident that this would be my career after all, because it fits. My mom was an artist and recommended her college (Kutztown University's), graphic design program, and it was the only school I applied to. After I got in and more tightly honed my skills, I gained several unique opportunities at such names as Dimensions/Inkadinkadoo as a Technical Artist, and Crayola as a Product Design Intern. These instances eventually landed me in the "the Heart of America", at Hallmark Cards Inc. designing on the "classic" Humor team. I feel with each installment of my life I gain new insight into current trends, customer insight, typography, and the over all in's-and-out's of the design world. With each day passing, I feel like being a graphic designer was not only the best decision I have made, but maybe the only one to make when it came to a choosing career, and I love what I do. But I'm not even close to the end of my education, because there is so much more to do, so many more opportunities to make and to take. I'm always looking for a chance to grow and learn.
