John Bruno grew up in Suburbia, Long Island and acquired his photographic training wheels in highschool thanks to a completely random gift of a point and shoot camera from his parents. He went to college at Binghamton University, where he gained much of his experience photographing early morning practices of the University Crew team, of which he was a devout member. He was also a photographer for Pipedream, the largest student run paper on campus, concentrating heavily on sports photography and contributing hundreds of photos of Binghamton’s athletes in action.
