I am a full-time pet portrait artist and am always on the lookout for the next inspiration. Since I work from photo, this is a space to share the results of photoshoots taken with clients and their pets, as well as a platform to share recent works. What I love most about painting animals is the way relationships form between my self and the interesting characters that reveal themselves through the end of my paintbrush. Through the creative act of painting, I feel as though I come to know each of these beautiful beings on a very deep and genuine level. For me, an animals spirit is conveyed through its eyes, a particular expression, and even the subtlest of gestures. My goal as an artist and animal lover is to create artwork that honors the unique life force within each of us. I paint to tell a story. But, even more so, I paint because it causes me to experience more love than I often know what to do with.
