Jessie Gibson, born and raised in Denver, Colorado first attended Nothwood University after graduating high school. After 9 months of studying business Gibson found his way to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he majored in Finance. Gibson’s first step into the career world was as a Release Manager for Qwest (US West) Communications in the Wireless division.  Gibson spent one year from 1999 to 2000 managing the software development cycle for Qwest.  In 2000 Gibson made the decision to move Las Vegas where he worked for Capital Funding, a private equity investment company. Capital Funding closed it’s Las Vegas division after September 11, 2001 at which point Gibson took a position as a bar back at the Palms Hotel and Casino pool. Gibson, eventually moved to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as a bar back to help open their now famous pool party, Rehab. After pool season Gibson changed gears and moved upstairs into the offices of the Hard Rock where he served the company as a Financial Analyst from 2004 to 2008. In these 4 years he also worked a brief nine-month term with ACEP, LLC a Karl Icahn company as a Marketing Database Analyst. During his time as a Financial Analyst at the Hard Rock, Gibson excelled at multi tasking and networking and also worked nights at Pure nightclub as a busser and Tao nightclub as a promoter. In 2008, Gibson made the decision to leave his position as Financial Analyst at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino so that he could fully concentrate his efforts on promoting, hosting, and networking at Tao Nightclub. A natural people person, Gibson was working 4-5 days a week helping to make Tao one of the most successful nightlife venues in Las Vegas. After noticing Gibson’s talent and ability in the promotional field, Angel Music Group, an up and coming nightlife marketing company, recruited him to run all of their nightlife promotions. After a year at that position Gibson left AMG and started Umbrella Marketing Group, where he took over the nightlife marketing and promotions for Station Casinos and specified promotions at Tao. Currently, Gibson is operating Umbrella Marketing Group, which was initially a nightlife Marketing and Promotions Company, but now functions more so as a Social Marketing Consulting and Promotions company. Gibson has had the pleasure and experience of working with a multitude of successful people in his time in Las Vegas, that continue to help educate and guide him in the Social Media and nightlife fields as they grow and change. His network of contacts and know how in the new world of social media makes him a valuable asset to not just one, but over 10 highly successful night life venues in the Las Vegas area. Gibson is also in the process of starting a Social Marketing Consulting Company called Boop!, where him and his team are looking to help educate and guide businesses of all kinds on how to effectively communicate in all social media outlets.read more ...read less ...
