While I've spent many years shepherding software and service development and deployment projects, the best role I've played to date is as a cleaner. I move effortlessly between technical and non-technical groups, removing roadblocks and making tactical plans that teams can use to move forward. Sometimes this means being the beast of burden, but sometimes it means leading the way. My communication style is firm and direct but you can put me in front of customers. I'm technical enough to translate their needs to software engineers, but not so much that I can't empathize with them. I'm detail oriented to the nth degree, but that's only so the customer's big picture needs are addressed. I've done my homework when I can anticipate their pains and medicate before they've noticed.
