And I’m one half-crazy, half-deaf, half-cocked, gung-ho, gun-toting, God-fearing, booze-swigging, liberal-libertarian 2nd Amendment-nut job "Jarhead" whose taken my obsessive-compulsive-tactical mind into the world of music journalism and random published rhetoric. I was born & raised right here in Louisville, KY and grew up in the Highlands as a child. I now reside at an undisclosed location. I love Louisville & Kentucky (most of it, anyway) and the diverse culture it’s known for, especially the music. For the last 10 years I’ve followed Louisville & Kentucky’s original rock and alternative music scenes. First as a concert promoter, then an artist manager, and now a freelance music writer. My random rumors, rhetoric and reviews (which I refer to as “scuttlebutt”) have been published by Louisville.com, Louisville Eccentric Observer (LEO), The Ville Magazine, Performer Magazine, and Louisville Music News since 2003. If you're one of those who have an expectation for the traditional laws of journalism to be upheld by me, then I’m not your cup of tea. In my own way, I've got a slight intent of trying to revive Hunter S. Thompson’s “gonzo journalism” as I may become part of my story from time to time. That is if my editors will allow it.
