Janet Webb

Female

I first discovered the world wide web in 1995 and quickly learned the skills to become a webmaster. The technology was quite simple back then, but it was an exciting time in history and an exciting time for me. Being part of a world-changing movement could not be beat. I began by creating websites for small businesses and eventually became employed by Corporate America as a full time Web Developer. I escaped Corporate America in early 2011 with the goal of once again working with small businesses. This is a passion of mine because I believe the small business is the backbone of our country. In addition, I also specialize in groups and organizations because they also benefit from a good and well-planned web presence. I still do web development. However, this time around I have decided to concentrate on open source Content Management Systems (CMS) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Both are perfect for Small Businesses and Organizations. Because these technologies are not well-known to the novice, I write a bi-weekly blog devoted to spreading the word about them. Having my name match my profession is kinda cool don't you think? How many other web gurus do you know that have the word "net" in their first name and "web" in their last name? This alone should be enough for you to want to add me to your network (or better yet, hire me).
