Since college I have had the privilege of working with many media professionals within magazines, graphic design and advertising. Through these interactions I have learned to be a better designer, adjusted to life outside of school and acquire skills I didn't know I had. Once I moved to New York City, I realized that if you are not extremely hardworking and driven, your goals will never be accomplished. I spent many months gathering valuable work experience through freelance jobs within different media companies and organizations throughout NYC. I love freelance work because of the different challenges that arise. I will always try to embrace new work but I am recently taking a different approach to my career and currently spend my days at Ziff Davis Media. Here I am a spunky assistant designer who pumps out designs daily that are used for their top publications like PCMag.com. In the near future, I want to go beyond the word "well-rounded". I not only want to be able to design for print and web but understand the logical thinking behind interactive design and digital media. I strive to be able to create digital content from the early stages of planning a site's architecture, to physically creating content through design and executing those ideas using programing and codes. I have much to see and do before I can reach beyond my goals but with my drive I know I'll get there fast. Specialties design skills in adobe CS5 creative suite, quark, understanding of html, some experience working in flash and dreamweaver, photo editing, photography, research skills of target audiences, products,etc, can concept interactive media, strong artistic visions, design skills for most medias, and much more. read more ...
