I am a Public Administration graduate student at Savannah State University where I am concentrating in global communications and public policy. I am currently in my last semester of the masters program. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia where I majored in Speech Communications and Public Relations. I have experience working in several marketing, communications, and public affairs positions, including Time Warner Cable’s Government Affairs department and Capitol Strategy Group lobbying firm. I've had abundant opportunities media pitching, developing written materials, fact-checking, researching, writing press releases, and also worked closely with company spokespersons on strategic communication plans. Also, I am currently employed as a public information assistant at the Savannah Chatham County School System, where my duties include assisting in conducting research to obtain vital information for media releases/news/features, utilizing digital and video technology to promote district accomplishments, and working as a liaison to identify businesses and community organizations to forge and develop sustainable partnerships with schools in the district.
