I am CEDR Group Director of Dispute Services, incorporating CEDR Solve, Europe's leading commercial mediation service provider and IDRS Ltd, the leading consumer redress body. Most of my time is spent developing and promoting commercial mediation and other dispute resolution services in the UK and Ireland, whilst also overseeing development of the business across the rest of Europe and working with colleagues on initatives in other jurisdictions such as Hong Kong, Dubai, Dohar and Singapore. I am also involved in and committed to the CEDR Foundation, promoting CEDR's charitable mission. Before CEDR I held several senior positions at the CIArb and specialised in consumer ADR. I was the UK government representative at the EC on consumer ADR and at the CIArb and CEDR I have developed more than 100 consumer and commercial ADR schemes. At CEDR these have included schemes for tenancy deposit adjudication and, from July 2011, exclusive provision of the ABTA Arbitration Scheme â€“ Europeâ€™s longest establish and most well-known consumer arbitration service. Commercial schemes recently introduced have included provision of ombudsmen for the NYSE LIFFE. As a CEDR Accredited mediator and member of CEDR Solve Panel, I mediate regularly and also act as an adjudicator for Ofsted and the Charity Commission.
