Geoff Jue is IBM's Director and Americas Energy & Utility Industry Leader, responsible for maintaining executive level client relationships, driving large complex deals, and developing smartgrid solutions for his clients. Prior to this, Geoff was the Client Unit Director responsible for the overall client sat and sales attainment for IBM’s utility clients in the Americas East. Geoff also served as the World Wide Solutions Offering Executive within IBM’s Global E&U Industry, responsible for IBM’s global integrated strategy/offerings for customer operations, meter data management, and infrastructure solutions. He joined IBM as the Retail Account Executive and Director of IT for IBM’s largest outsourced account in the utility industry. Here, he helped create and deliver a new outsourcing model that created significant value for their client through business and technology thought leadership and execution. Geoff brings to IBM over 30 years of experience in the energy & utility industry. Prior to joining IBM, Geoff spent over 19 years working in regulated and unregulated utility companies managing all aspects of utility and retail operations and customer care. As IBM’s customer, he developed and implemented a first-of-a-kind business process outsourcing model for meter to cash within a major retail energy company. Geoff was born in San Francisco, CA. He received his MBA from Golden Gate University, Bachelors in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley, and Certificate in Total Quality Management from UC Berkeley. Geoff serves on the Board of Governors for the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis chairing their IT Committee and is the Asst. Scoutmaster to the Boy Scouts of America in Lake Minnetonka. He is also a lifetime member of the U.S. Jaycees as Ambassador #2222, the organization’s highest honor. He previously served as the Charter President and Chairman of the Board for the Oakland Jaycees from 1985 to 1991.
