I am consumed in the world of chocolate as author of "Chocolatour A Quest for the World's Best Chocolate," a memoir on my chocolate travels around the world. I published Volume I of the book in and am currently researching Volume II. I'm also engaged in writing various freelance articles about chocolate chocolate travel for numerous clients. I've co-authored two books -- the Manitoba Book of Everything, is a Canadian bestseller. In March, , I released "Before You Say Yes ..." a guide for volunteers and directors of non-profit boards published by Dundurn Press. I've delivered many keynote talks on the world of chocolate and have also taught courses and seminars on volunteerism, freelance writing, business writing, copyright, and understanding feng shui. I was on the board of Access Copyright for six years ending March , and believe strongly in the protection of copyright. To further serve the writing community, I have been national vice president of the Professional Writers Association of Canada was previously a PWAC board member from - as Regional Director, Prairies the North. I was named the Volunteer of the Year for in the PrairiesNorth Region by PWAC and consider it to be a tremendous honour. I also had the good fortune of receiving the Lawrence Jackson Memorial Award of Achievement from PWAC in . I achieved my Distinguished Toastmaster Award in November, and am the founder and current president of the Toastmasters in the Arts club based in Gimli, Manitoba. I am a past president of the Lord Selkirk Toastmasters Club and was named Toastmaster of the Year for that club in . I am also a charter member of the Prairie Voices Club. I am a long-time member of the Travel Media Assn of Canada and a former board member for the Matlock Recreation Club. To further facilitate my book writing career, I am also a member of The Writers' Union of Canada and ACI (Arts Culture Industries of Manitoba).
