Don Grusin is a -Time Grammy Award winning musician and Visiting Instructor at the University of Colorado. He was baptized into the music business early on, when he was invited to play keyboards and record with Quincy Jones in the US and Japan in the 's. Since that time, Don has recorded eighteen solo albums and produced dozens more. His most recent album (co-produced with old friend Bill Sharpe) Trans Atlntica is on iTunes around the world, as well as Universal Japan and Secret Records in the UK. And on MVD Records in the US. Just prior to that CareMusicGroup.de released One Night Only (a two piano duelette with his brother Dave), and Piano in Venice (a tribute to life in Venice California). Still hot with fans is his live CDDVD project, The Hang, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Don just returned from his second annual Hang Berlin, celebrated at the A-Trane, and recorded with Peter Fessler and friends at Lettercollum Recording Studio in Cork, Ireland. He just completed teaching a class entitled Creating New Media of the Old New West , sponsored bny the Public Lands Foundation at the Atlas Institute, University of Colorado in Boulder...this is a multidisciplinary media class about how the Bureau of Land Management affects every citizen.
