david shaffer
David Shaffer founded Belief Bridge Communications to help clients move beyond "creating buzz" to focus instead on changing audience behaviors by reinforcing, creating or changing the beliefs that drive those behaviors. David is a former journalist and results-oriented communications professional who specializes in strategic communications planning, issues and crisis management, media relations and social media. He graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and spent years as a newspaper business reporter and editor, writing extensively about the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, banking, personal finance and international business. He earned an MBA from IU's Kelley School of Business, so he develops strategic communications plans focused on important business objectives. His extensive experience in corporate America -- including serving as a corporate spokesperson for Eli Lilly and Co. and Johnson Johnson -- helps him get the job done within large, highly matrixed organizations. In addition, David has extensive public relations and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. At Lilly, he led PR planning and launch communications for the U.S. and global launches of Cymbalta, and served as director of neuroscience communications. At Endo-Surgery, a JJ, he was director of worldwide communications, supporting its bariatric surgery and personalized sedation lines of business. read more ...
