I have almost years experience in Emergency Medical Services, having come from the entry level EMT-First Responder in , through the military to corpsman in , to certified EMT-Basic in , then on to EMT-Intermediate and EMS Instructor in , then completed Paramedic school in . I held an Affiliate Faculty position with the NAEMT for Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), and have been a course coordinator for PHTLS and AMLS. I am also an experienced AHA instructor for CPR (All levels)AEDFirst Aid, ACLS, and PALS. I have enjoyed working in diverse environments (rural, suburban, metropolitan, military) in places such as OrlandoCocoa Beach, FL InglewoodSouth Central LALong Beach, CA, PortolaSusanville, CA MCB Camp Pendleton, CA Reno, NV and Fort WorthDFW, TX (where I averaged , callsyear and served as a training officer). I presently teach part-time at Truckee Meadows Community College EMS Programs in Reno, NV for all the EMT levels from First Responder through Paramedic, and have been the online component instructor for the hybrid Paramedic program. I am also presently part-time employed with New Horizons Computer Learning Center in Reno, NV where I have put my skills in dabbling in computers to good use teaching many Microsoft Office and Operating Systems programs, and the Adobe Creative Suite. I am presently employed full-time with the Nevada State Health Division as their Public Health Preparedness Training Officer. My primary job is to prepare the Health Division staff, and its health partners throughout Nevada for bioterrorism CBRNE events, as directed by the CDC's Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) grant. Additionally, I am learning to administrate ESi's WebEOC version . and am becoming familiar with ESRI's ArcGIS to allow us to map, forecast, and respond to the public health aspects of disasters.
