CamilleMy love for cooking and my passion for baking was not out of the ordinary.  Growing up in a Sicilian family, in New Jersey, it was inevitable that I’d at the very least have an appreciation for the culinary arts. Marrying an officer in the USMC made me appreciate just how lucky I was to have grown up in New Jersey, just outside New York City, where every type of food is available just a block away.I suffered from a severe case of culture shock when my husband and I moved to our first duty station in North Carolina.  I recall sobbing on the phone to my family, “They..(sniff, sniff)…have..(snort)…no….(sniff sniff)…Italian bakeries!!!  Where am I supposed to get my pastry!!?!  Where?!…(Whaaaa)† Necessity is the mother of invention.  It was necessary that I had pastry and therefore I reinvented myself.  I became my own pastry chef, teaching myself to bake almost anything I craved.Twenty years later, two teenage boys and yes, a husband who is still an officer in the USMC, has taught me to be resilient, spontaneous and creative.  My children are now in public high school, but I spent many years home schooling them, teaching them the basics: reading, writing and arithmetic.  I have also taught them how to cook and bake, which was and is a joy even when the youngest decides that hot sauce should be a main ingredient in everything we cook or bake.MarieI grew up in the East Coast. My heritage is French and German. I currently live in Asia and I am a citizen of the world, globetrotting. I am versatile and can be considered as a ‘Jane of all trades.’ I dabbled in various fields and forever a student because I believe that the minute you stop learning, that is when the world around you stops moving.  I am determined to do the best I can in anything I put my mind into. Most of all, I am a daughter and a wife.  The world has become my playground, photography, cooking, baking, interior design are my passions, these become ways for me to see various facets of the world I know. I believe that reading literature veraciously expands my horizons. I have an open mind and I am never presumptuous. I am subtle yet assertive. I am creative yet I think analytically. I am multifaceted, which makes me interesting. Life intoxicates me. Living is my reward.I always try something at least once. My ethics are simple, it’s either I like it or I don’t. That goes for the people that I meet. I don’t waste my time on people I don’t like. Life is too short to play pretend.  I take my career seriously, but it doesn’t define me. I’m passionate about bringing the highest level of quality and creativity to every project on which I work. I’m always interested in taking on interesting projects with people that are enthusiastic about elevating their brands and developing new ideas for the future.
