I have a diverse background in software development, business consulting, and management. I started my career in technical communication, developing websites to facilitate distance education. For most of my career I have been with Resource Data, a software development and consulting firm. I love consulting, helping to build a great consulting firm, and the variety of roles Ive been able to fulfill along the way. Ive managed small offices, turning them from under-performing to profitable Ive participated in business leadership and, Ive led recruiting efforts, believing that if you hire (and inspire) great people, anything is possible. Along the way I spent three years in the Bay Area working for a startup with an incredible group of people that taught me a lot about taking chances, trying something new, and swinging for the fence. It was an exciting and thrilling ride. More recently, I have started pursuing my MPH degree from UAA. I am amazed and inspired by the technical innovations that have a direct impact on the quality of life all over the world, but especially in developing countries.
