As I write this in December of , Im years old. Ive always been in pretty good shape, having been a competitive amateur triathlete and distance runner in the late s. By the middle of the s I started running less often and shorter distances, and by the early s I had slowly slipped into a period of relative inactivity. When I started exercising regularly again in about , I was surprisingly out of shape. Weak and stiff, I had the least upper body strength of my adult life. I remember when I was in my prime as a triathlete, I used to wonder what it would be like to be fat and out of shape and try to get in shape again. Be careful what you wonder

Ive been interested in photography for nearly my entire life. I got my first real camera in high school, a Canon T-, and spent a year playing with black and white shooting and development. For a few years, I lapsed into snapshot shooting and set aside photography for music. About years ago, I was hired as a magazine editor, which spurred me to pick up the old T- and begin my slide film adventures. In the last decade, Ive moved from slide to all digital, but in that time, Ive managed to score dozens of magazine covers in national trade magazines. In the last few years, Ive begun focusing on photography. I aim to capture the unique, the odd and the fascinating, all while exploring light, time and motion on film. Aside from selling images for print online, Ill also be appearing around Northern Vermont at craft fairs and the like throughout .
