I help organizations achieve their objectives by leveraging new communication platforms and some old fashioned ones too. My passion is moving the conversation from "we want more fans" to "How are we going to make a difference." My bio is below With more than years of corporate public relations, academic and small business development experience, Bill Handy leads STF's Tulsa Region. There he responsible for for overseeing growth, providing high level counsel to clients, leading client teams and mentoring and developing staff. Bill is considered an expert in public relations, strategic communications, social media and emerging communication technology. He is also a past visiting assistant professor and lecturer at Oklahoma State University School of Media and Strategic Communications. There, he developed and taught one of the first courses ever offered on the strategic use of social media. In addition, he led an internationally recognized pilot program to determine the iPads impact on learning and engagement when the device was first introduced to the market. He has received a number of awards and accolades, most recently OSU Ad Club Professor of the Year and the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals James Kraft Lifetime Achievement Award. Bill was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society as an Honorary Member and was the the recipient of the Achafoa Mortar Board Chapter Golden Torch Award for his significant contributions toward the success of students, specifically for their dedication to promoting scholarship, leadership and service. Of all his accomplishments he holds two in high regard. One of his first PR campaigns was featured on SNL's fake news and he recently received a LinkedIn endorsement for photobombing.
