Even before I was a college freshman I began building my resume to portray my strong, experienced background in marketing, public relations, editorial work and my interest in fashion. My fashion interest sprouted from when I purchased my first issue of Vogue in 8th grade, read it all the way through, and fell in love. Though some of the stories may have gone over my head the photos and fashion captivated my young mind. While I have a strong background and knowledge of the fashion realm, I also enjoy the arts (musical theatre, art, dance) and would like to start incorporating that into my resume. Since I was very young I started traveling into New York City to see Broadway shows with my family and friends and since then I have had an avid interest in the musical arts. Upon my sophomore year at the University of Michigan, I wrote a 2,000 word story on "making it big on Broadway" and since then my interest in working with the theatre grew deeper. I hope to start engaging in more projects such as that. I have worked with newspapers, magazines, public relations and event planning through various jobs and internships. My goal is to build a cohesive and strong resume with great and diverse learning experiences. Ultimately, I would love to pursue a career in the journalism or public relations field â€” but I am open to new experiences as well!
