Former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Phillip Services Corporation (diversified industrial services provider) from August 1999 to April 2002. He was Executive Vice President of ARCO (Atlantic Richfield Company) from 1994 to 1999, President of ARCO Coal, a subsidiary of ARCO, from 1990 to 1994 and Corporate Controller of ARCO from 1987 to 1990. Mr. Fernandes serves on the Boards of Black & Veatch, Cytec Industries and Tower Automotive.
