Allison C. Shields, Esq., President of Legal Ease Consulting, Inc., provides leadership, practice management and business development coaching and consulting services for lawyers and law firms.  After leaving her position as Administrative Partner at one of Long Island’s premier law firms, Allison started Legal Ease Consulting, Inc. to help lawyers and law firms develop their practices to their fullest potential. As a practicing lawyer and law firm manager, Allison has walked in the shoes of her clients and knows the unique challenges faced by lawyers today. She understands the law firm environment and the daily pressures faced by lawyers trying to manage and build their business while practicing law and successfully serving their clients.   Allison helps her clients create efficient, effective systems and operations to maximize productivity and enhance client experience. She works with firms to develop professional and non-professional staff and create a law firm culture that inspires employees and clients alike. Her proven processes and systems help keep law firms and individual lawyers accountable for reaching their goals and implementing the plans they create. Allison’s clients learn how to identify and attract their ideal clients, improve their client intake and selection process, and develop client-friendly fee structures to enhance the lawyer-client relationship.  Allison is an active member of the American, New York State, Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.  She serves on the Education Board of the American Bar Association’s Law Practice Management Section, and is an Officer in the Suffolk Academy of Law, the educational arm of the Suffolk County Bar Association.  A sought-after author and lecturer, Allison has published articles in The Suffolk Lawyer, The Nassau Lawyer, the Law Trends publication of the American Bar Association’s GP/Solo section, Law Practice Today, the on-line publication of the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, Immigration Law Today, and TechnoLawyer, among others.  She is also the author of the Legal Ease Blog at www.LegalEaseConsulting.com. Her website, Lawyer Meltdown (www.LawyerMeltdown.com), provides resources and information for lawyers about managing and building their practices. As a practicing lawyer, Ms. Shields handled litigated matters ranging from premises and products liability to labor law and professional malpractice.
