I am an accomplished communications executive with 16 years of experience developing and directing effective business strategies in corporate, sports and entertainment roles. I have experience comfortably directing multiple campaigns while simultaneously satisfying demands on deadline, in addition to being a spokesperson trained in crisis management techniques used by a Fortune 500 company. Currently, I operate my own communications consulting firm in Scottsdale, Ariz., serving the Arizona Diamondbacks and various other companies with strategic marketing and public relations insight to increase awareness and revenues while also developing messaging strategies. Overall, I have spent 15 seasons in Major League Baseball as a communications executive, including the previous six seasons (2006-11) as Vice President, Communications for the D-backs. At the D-backs, I led the organization's internal and external communications strategies by overseeing the organization’s daily interaction with the local and national media. Under my guidance, the Communications staff garnered national coverage about D-backs players and the organization in The Wall Street Journal, FORTUNE, GQ, SportsBusiness Journal, Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, USA Today and on NBC’s “Today.†I also had communications roles with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1996-2004) and San Diego Padres (1996). I also served as the Director, Corporate Communications for KB Home, a Fortune 500 company based in Los Angeles, from 2004-06. At KB Home, I helped increase the brand awareness of the nation’s fifth-largest homebuilder by overseeing public relations representatives throughout the nation as well as coordinating publicity for the company’s collaboration announcement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia to have Martha Stewart design homes.
