Im a photo editor based in NYC. Currently I'm working with photographers and other creatives looking for photo editing, story development and research and small business and marketing advice to take their work to the next level. I am not currently buying images for clients. I'm a consultant. My last " to " job was at Getty Images. As Senior Photo Editor I collaborated with, shaped story proposals and provided editorial direction to award-winning photographers, including Robert Nickelsberg, Brent Stirton, David Turnley, Jeff Hutchens, and Per-Anders Pettersson to name just a few. I worked extensively with Gettys international offices to pitch and negotiate the sale of stories to publications around the world, including German Geo, Paris Match, The New York Times, and Time magazine. I also worked with non-profit companies such as the Clinton Foundation, the Global Business Coalition and Circle of Blue. I've worked for a small North Carolina newspaper as a staff photographer and page designer, followed by a stint as a designer and photo editor at Baseball America magazine. From there, I moved to New York City to become a Photo Editor for The Associated Press, working on several major news stories including the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole and the BushGore Election. I've freelanced on an array of multimedia projects as project manager in conjunction with E Productions and Aurora Photos stock agency for Kodak.com. I am also currently a board member of The Image, Deconstructed, where I help with whatever is needed to further their mission of educating and sharing the mental aspects of being a photographer and visual communicator.
