For the last twelve years Dr. Jonathan Kinlay has been building and managing the execution of both low- and high-frequency quantitative trading strategies in equities, derivatives, credit and fixed income. He has led and managed R&D projects ranging in scale up to 20+ man-years and several million dollars to develop algorithmic trading strategies that have been implemented successfully in funds with over $15Bn in assets. Dr, Kinlay is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Systematic Strategies LLC, a high frequency trading firm, and Realtime Trading LLC, a NY-based proprietary trading firm specializing in high frequency algorithmic trading. Dr. Kinlay has served as General Partner and Portfolio Manager for the Caissa Capital and Proteom hedge funds, for which he developed all of the proprietary trading algorithms and investment strategies, managing over $500M in assets raised from institutional investors and his trading experience includes equity, fixed income, FX and derivatives. He has recruited, trained and managed teams of quantitative analysts in Europe, North America and Asia for both money management firms and investment banks. Dr. Kinlay has postgraduate degrees in Statistics, Economics and Business Administration, and has been appointed adjunct professor of finance at Carnegie Mellon, New York and Reading Universities where he has lectured on investment strategy, financial engineering and risk management. He has extensive technical skills in C/C++, VB, Excel, Matlab and Mathematica. Dr. Kinlay is a regular speaker on the international conference circuit on subjects ranging from quantitative investment strategies to hedge fund replication. He has spoken and/or moderated at conferences on Managed Accounts, Hedge Fund Replication, and Quantitative Investment Strategies.
