Deborah Gilson livestock. To this day, I maintain a vegetarian lifestyle for health and ethical reasons. Attending the University of Hawaii, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree. I remained in the Hawaiian Islands years as a fashion show producer. When I was , I witnessed the stabbing of two young men. One of them ultimately died while I held his hand. My husband and I married in . We purchased a ranch and in welcomed Spencer, our son. I began rescuing farm animals while raising Spencer. When I was , tragedy struck my family of friends. Ross, my -year-old brother, took his life on July th. When I learned of Ross death, I could hear my brothers voice clearly telling me, Im free, Debbie, Im free. Two years later, my mother was dying of liver cancer. She urged me to put my true life stories into books. I continue fulfilling my mothers dying wish. Now divorced, I am raising Spencer and running our ranch to several rescued farm animals. Having recently completed my fourth memoir, The Intention of My Affection, I am working on my fifth book.
