When I worked in NYC in the 's I was told by many a trader on The Floor I should go into "Institutional Sales". Much to my monetary demise, I never did. Hindsight is always . I lost my car, lost my house, lost everything just to 'live the dream' which didn't ever become a reality because I was too busy stuck behind the computer learning something new. Every time I turned around there was another 'launch' of another amazing product that I just couldn't live without. Until I was so broke I couldn't afford to do much else but 'hope'. Not much of a strategy as I learned. I soon started to work with social media and created my own product selling a few of them online and getting others to understand the concept of marketing their online presence. Then, I started working with apps on Facebook and viral word of mouth posts and started finding out what makes people engage and what doesn't. After many ups and downs with my social media marketing strategies I have come to find people are more interested in community and the greater good rather than statements of who's making the most money and who's got the biggest check.
